Mom Meet Up - Johnson City and Tricities Tennessee
When it comes to being a mom, there’s no one who gets it like other moms. I can try and try to get my husband to understand what it’s like to be a mom, but I’ve got to be honest - moms just get it in a way he doesn’t. As a mom I know that when we have the chance to meet up with other moms, life just seems to go better.
Here are my four favorite mom meet up groups in Johnson City and the Tricities area.
This awesome mom meet up is designed to connect stay-at-home moms moms. This chapter covers Johnson City, Gray, Piney Flats, Elizabethton, Bluff City, and Watauga. As a mom meet up that's for everyone, MOMS Club of Johnson City is specifically for mothers regardless of background, age or religion. Being a stay at home mom can be lonely and it sure helps to have a scheduled mom meet up now and again that you don’t have to orchestrate.
Similar to other MOMS Club chapters, this organization is for all stay at home moms and is part of a larger international organization. As a mom meet up, this Kingsport chapter’s goals are to provide a support group for mothers, provide a forum for topics of interest to mothers, to help children in the community, and to perform at least one service project yearly that helps needy children.
MOPS is a mom meet up that stands for Moms of Preschoolers and Toddlers. MOPS is a grassroots movement that connects local moms all over the world who meet together to laugh, cry and embrace the journey of motherhood. This mom meet up group has lots of awesome events, including a regular mom meet up, scheduled playdates, and service projects.
Cherished Mom is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that focuses on mental health in moms. The founder, Kristina Delaney, is a postpartum psychosis survivor who is passionate about maternal mental health. One of the programs that Cherished Mom offers is mental health support group for moms. While this is a little different from the other mom meet up features here, it’s a really important way to connect with other moms and get help! These meetings are in the evening meaning it works for both working and stay-at-home moms.
